Board of Listers

The Board of Listers is a three-member, elected Board charged with the responsibility of determining the fair-market-value of real property, working with the Town Assessor, who provides professional assistance. The property values serve as the base upon which the Selectboard sets property tax rates. Members are elected for staggered three-year terms.

The Listers preside at scheduled Grievance Hearings each spring to hear appeals from property owners regarding the assessed value of their homes.
