Vehicle Registration

The Middlebury Town Clerk’s Office processes vehicle registration renewals for the State DMV for vehicle registrations that have been expired for no more than two months. You may come to the Clerk’s Office Monday through Thursday, 8am-5pm, with your renewal form in order to obtain a temporary registration.

Vehicle registration fees must be paid by check payable to 'VT DMV' for the exact amount. An additional $3 service fee is paid separately to the Clerk’s Office which may be in cash or by check.

You can save the additional $3 fee by renewing your registration on-line at secure.vermont.gov/dmv/express. At this site you may also change your address or request a duplicate registration certificate.
